IN MEMORY OF THE GREAT "DOC" September 21, 1916 - July 14, 2007. He enjoyed his last fishing trip
aboard the Betty-O on July 13th. Doc's beloved wife of 62 years, Nancy,
passed away in 2004. He is survived by 12 of his 14 children.

Here is the weekly report for the Betty O for Saturday, Aug
21 thru today, Friday, Aug 27:
60 salmon grouper, 55 reds, 115 rockfish, 5 barracuda, 20
sandbass, 1 sheephead, 1 calico bass.
We had good rockcod fishing today, in the drift mode,
and last Saturday and Sunday when we sat on various spots in 240 feet on the anchor.
The live bait currently
in the receivers is robust, good hook bait sized sardine, with which the grouper and reds have been caught. The bottomfishing trips have been fun!
Twilights have been characterized by lovely evening weather and a steady appearance by the sand bass, with
a few barracuda mixed in. Barracuda have bit the flylined
sardine, and the surface jigs.
Our twilight on Sunday, September 5th, the eve of Labor Day, should offer a fireworks show at 9 PM fired off from Gladstone's Restaurant. See you out here!
