FISH REPORT:
For the week of Saturday, May 11th, through Friday, May 17th, the Betty O landed 77 salmon grouper, 34 reds, 145 belindas (speckled rockfish), 260 assorted rockfish, 48 sculpin, 1 sole, 6 sheephead, 2 calico bass, and
15 lingcod.
The whopper is an 8 lb lingcod caught by "Dawn" of Venice. She was using a live sardine on a 2-hook gannion while the boat was anchored in 170 feet of water. The fish gave a good fight and headed back into the rocky bottom before Dawn finessed it out and up to the surface and a waiting landing net. Dawn also caught her limit (10) of belinda rockfish on the trip. Quite a productive day!

IN MEMORY OF THE GREAT "DOC" September 21, 1916 - July 14, 2007. He enjoyed his last fishing trip
aboard the Betty-O on July 13th. Doc's beloved wife of 62 years, Nancy,
passed away in 2004. He is survived by 12 of his 14 children.
